A new book coedited by Tiina Kinnunen, including chapters also, among others, by Heini Hakosalo and Kaisa Vehkalahti from the University of Oulu.
“Biography, Gender and History: Nordic Perspectives”, published by k & h, in the series Cultural History (volume 14). The book reflects the biographical turn that has influenced Nordic historical research during the past few decades. The individual chapters focus on challenges of gender, context, and relationality in biographical research, and develop the methodologies of biographical research further. According to Professor Maria Tamboukou (University of East London), it is “an excellent volume covering a significant gap in the interdisciplinary field of historical and biographical writing not only in the Nordic milieu but more widely.”
